In a similar vein, network gear maker D-Link sells the DSM-320 D-Link Wireless Media Player, which collects digital music, video and photos; stores them on PCs; and plays them on televisions or stereo systems.
China's largest appliance maker, Haier Group, is teaming up with a subsidiary of AOL to make a wireless media player that can stream or download content without hooking it up to a PC.
Under the deal with Fountain Valley, California-based D-Link, D-Link's Wireless Media Player will stream AOL multimedia content to non-PC devices like TVs.
