word wheel

    0.01 sec.
word wheel
A lookup method in which each character that is typed in moves the on-screen index to the closest match. By watching the index move character by character, you can easily tell if you have made a typo. In addition, you can get to the beginning of a word group quickly and then scroll to the word or phrase you are looking for. The Windows versions of this database use a word wheel as did the first DOS version back in 1990.
