Perhaps in the Vatican II commercial Benedict XVI will be a kind of papal John Madden stepping from the brawling barroom crowd in white cassock and zucchetto.
His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI has made the Montreal exhibit even more special by adding the cartridge that produced the white smoke heralding his election and four objects that comprise his first vestments as pope: a cassock, zucchetto, pectoral cross and shoes.
The pope gained presence as he exchanged his miter for a zucchetto and stood to perform the Liturgy of the Eucharist--following the same sequence followed by most every other priest, everywhere.
