a city in southwestern Turkey, in the vilayet (province) of Izmir. Population, 35,000 (1970). Ödemi§ has a railroad station. Local industries include food processing. The city is a commercial center (figs, cotton, tobacco). Mercury and arsenic are mined in the vicinity.
