The PicoScope 5000D Series FlexRes oscilloscopes and MSOs feature up to
16 bits of vertical resolution with up to 200-MHz bandwidth and 1-GS/s sampling speed.

"Taking full advantage of 32-bit architecture," says CyberResearch, these new boards otter four channels of simultaneously sampled data at speeds up to 2 megasamples per second and resolutions up to
16 bits.
Thus the bandwidth is: 25MHz strobe, multiplied by 2 for double data rate clocking, then multiplied by
16 bits per edge, then divided by 8 bits per byte, which equals 100MB/sec.
The sending computer first breaks the entire message into segments, each consisting of
16 bits. All the segments are then added together using a variant of binary arithmetic that gives a 16-bit result.
Precision molding capabilities have been enhanced by new controls with increased memory and a 64-bit processor, upgraded from
16 bits on the J-EL II series.
Such applications perform large amounts of arithmetic processing on audio, speech, or image samples which typically only require
16 bits or less per datum.
