3G + Wi-Fi

Devices that have third-generation (3G) cellular data service as well as Wi-Fi. Apple's iPad and Amazon's Kindle reader were some of the first products to be offered with both 3G and Wi-Fi. 3G + Wi-Fi allows access to the Internet no matter where the user is located. On Wi-Fi-only models, the user must be within the proximity of a Wi-Fi hotspot at home or office or venues such as hotels and cafes. See cellular generations, Wi-Fi vs. cellular, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi hotspot.
