The 960x480 "progressive scan" camera format used in surveillance cameras, action POV cams and Webcams. The 960p resolution adds a wider horizontal view than standard definition (SD) 704x480, but less than HD at 1280x720 or 1920x1080. See 960H, DTV, POV camera and Webcam.
