The picture as regards Chinese medium-range AAMs is more confused, at least in terms of the latest developments.
Brazil and South Africa are now working closely together to develop new and existing AAMs. In February 2006, Mectron announced an industrial partnership with South Africa's Denel, with the aim of further developing and manufacturing the short-range A-Darter, with an initial investment of $52 million.
Russia's combat aircraft continue to be armed almost exclusively with AAMs that date from the latter years of the Cold War, and most new projects since then have been hamstrung by a lack of funding.
The fourth approach for enhancing the matching performance of AAM is to modify the fitting algorithm of AAM itself, by proposing a novel fitting algorithm or enhancing the existing fitting algorithms.
In this paper, we have used artificial bee colony (ABC) [39] for solving the fitting problem in AAM. The ABC algorithm simulates the intelligent foraging behavior of a honey bee swarm [40].
The appearance of AAM on computed tomography is variable; it may be a well-defined, homogeneous mass that is hypodense relative to muscle, or it may be predominantly cystic with solid components.
On gross examination, AAM is unencapsulated, is poorly or vaguely circumscribed, and may blend imperceptibly with surrounding soft tissue.
Fifteen patients were identified as having definite cases of pneumonia caused by AAMs. This subgroup (of whom 1 had a definite diagnosis of S.
The frequency of infections with AAMs is summarized in Table 4.
These cells tend to be arranged around the blood vessels or sometimes cluster in epithelioid foci, apparently showing myofibroblastic differentiation.[2,7-9] On the other hand, the cellular composition in AAM is less variable among the cases, being exclusively composed of bland fibroblastic cells.[1] Vascular and stromal components of AMFB are nearly the same as those seen in AAM, except that the vascular density in AMFB is less prominent, mainly consisting of venules or arborizing capillary networks.
However, much controversy exists among recent reports regarding the immunophenotypes of AMFB and AAM.[6,8-10] Most notably, AMFB has been known to display a variable combination of the differential markers, among which they are frequently positive for vimentin and desmin but not for smooth muscle actin.
