Silver Bream

 

(Blicca bjoerkna), a fish of the family Cy-prinidae, related to the bream. The body is 16–19 cm long (rarely up to 35 cm) and weighs about 100 g (sometimes as much as 1.2 kg). The fish is found in the North, Baltic, Black, Azov, and Caspian seas. Spawning takes place from the end of April until July. The silver bream is not of great commercial importance.
