ActiveX filtering

ActiveX filtering

A feature introduced in Internet Explorer 9 that allows the user to decide which ActiveX controls are allowed to run on a website. ActiveX controls that were downloaded for one site may work incorrectly on another. On Microsoft's website, it says that ActiveX controls can sometimes prevent the user from having a good experience.
