Adabiyat ve Indzhesenet

 

(Literature and Art), an Azerbaijani-language newspaper published in Baku, the organ of the Union of Writers of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Culture of the Azerbaijan SSR.

Adabiyat ve indzhesenet is a 16–page weekly newspaper with a circulation of 20,000 (as of 1968). It was founded in 1934 under the name Adabiyat gazeti (Literary Newspaper); it has been known by its present name since 1953. Its first editors were M. Guseinov, G. Nazarli, M. S. Ordubady, and M. K. Alekperli.
