Agarak

 

an urban-type settlement in Megri Raion, Armenian SSR. Its railroad stop Karchevan is on the Leninakan-Aliat line. Population in 1968, 5,000. The town arose with the development of copper and molybdenite ores in the area; it now has a copper and molybdenum combine.
