Phoenix's lucida is 2.4-magnitude Alpha Phoenicis. Known as Ankaa (Arabic for Phoenix), it's an orange sub-giant nearly 80 light-years from us.
Another figure from mythology, it's a relatively bright constellation, containing one 2nd-magnitude star, Alpha Phoenicis, and two 3rd-magnitude stars, Beta and Gamma.
