Amplification of Electric Oscillations

 

an increase in the magnitude of electric oscillations without any change in their form, that is, in their frequency spectrum or phase relations. The amplification of electric oscillations is usually achieved by means of energy from constant-voltage sources with the aid of various electronic devices, such as vacuum tubes, gas discharge tubes, or solid state devices, or by means of energy from other electric oscillations.
