Location:North-central Colorado. Accessible by US 34, 40, and 287; and CO 14 and 72. Nearby cities/towns include Boulder, Dillon, Fort Collins, Grandby, and Winter Park.

Activities:Camping, big-game hunting, fishing, boating, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, rock climbing, ORV riding, cross-country and downhill skiing, snowmobiling.
Special Features:Forests surround Rocky Mountain National Park (see entry in national parks section). Points of interest include Mount Evans, Mount Goliath Natural Area, Peak-to-Peak Scenic Byway, Berthoud Pass, Continental Divide National Scenic Trail (see entry in national trails section), Moffat Tunnel, and Arapaho National Recreation Area.
