Internet Archive

The Internet's library of digital content. Founded in 1996, one year after the Internet became a commercial venture, Internet Archive bots crawl the Web for content, capturing millions of images, audio clips and videos as well as more than 20 million books, some of which date back to the 1800s. Part of the Internet Archive, the Wayback Machine stores entire websites, including revisions. See Wayback Machine, Web archiving and digital hoarder.
