Astronomical and Geodetic Network

 

a system of interconnected astronomical and geodetic points, spaced 70–100 km apart. An astronomical and geodetic network is formed from the series and networks of triangulation and polygonometry. The data of astronomical and geodetic networks are used in determining the earth’s shape and dimensions.
