Atomnaia Energiia

 

a Soviet monthly scientific-technical journal, which is an organ of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR and the State Committee on the Use of Atomic Energy of the USSR. It has been published in Moscow since 1956. Its topics include nuclear energetics; raw materials and stock for the atomic industry; the use of isotopes and ionizing radiation in the national economy; radiation safety; atomic instrumentation; problems of directed thermonuclear reactions; plasma physics; the direct transformation of nuclear energy into electric energy; the acceleration of charged particles; neutron physics; and the physics of nuclear fission. The journal’s circulation (1970) is 2,730 copies.
