Avdeevka
a city in Iasinovataia Raion, Donetsk Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, 22 km north of Donetsk. It has a railroad station. Population in 1968, 29,100. Avdeevka is the site of a coke and tar plant, an electromechanical plant, a ceramic plant, a prefabricated concrete plant, a construction components plant and others. There is a railroad transport industry in Avdeevka. Two urban-type settlements, Avdeevka 1 and Avdeevka 2, were combined in 1957 to form the city.
