Filling a gap in the market, BQFP is now launching the first ever guide focused on young adult fiction for Arabic books covering ages 9 to 18 to help pre-teens and teenagers with their literary choices as they start reading more complex and thought-provoking material.
BQFP has published several literary works such as aACAyThe Corsair' by Qatari engineer and journalist Abdul Aziz Al Mahmoud.
The talented authors of BQFP then read a few sections from their books before a distinguished audience, including members from the publishing and literary communities and guests from around the Middle East.

Participants will also have the chance to meet BQFP authors Ahdaf Soueif, Jabbour Douaihy, Selma Dabbagh and Bloomsbury children's author BR Collins to hear about their experiences.
Speaking to Qatar Tribune, BQFP Managing Director Seif Salmawy said, "We cooperated with JCC and Baraem TV in order to translate the education and pedagogical thinking behind those programmes into books.

The conference has been developed in conjunction with BQFP as part of efforts to improve standards of Arabic language translation, as well as editing of texts both into and out of Arabic and make it more accessible.
This week, BQFP is carrying out a number of activities to encourage reading and love of books in children as well as adults as part of Qatar's second celebration of the World Book Day.
