Delagoa Bay

one of the best harbors of the Indian Ocean on the southeast coast of Africa. Length, about 112 km; width, 25-40 km; depth, 10-16 m. Its shores are low and swampy and covered with forests. The mouths of the rivers that flow into the bay are submerged and form good harbors. The port of Lourenço Marques (Mozambique) is on Delagoa Bay.
