Bacha-I Saqao

 

one of the leaders of the 1928–29 revolt against the government in Afghanistan, which was supported by the British imperialists.

After Bacha-i Saqao was proclaimed emir of Afghanistan under the name of Habibullah Ghazi in January 1929, he repealed the bourgeois reforms of Amanullah Khan. When the troops of Muhammad Nadir entered Kabul, Bacha-i Saqao was dethroned in October 1929 and executed on Nov. 2. 1929.
