Bachelard Gaston

(1894-1962) widely influential French social philosopher and philosopher of science who, among other things, introduced the term EPISTEMOLOGICAL BREAK and influenced ALTHUSSER and FOUCAULT. Parallels exist between Bachelard's thinking and that of Thomas KUHN on revolutionary science.
