Baker, Paul T. (Thornell)

(1927–  ) physical anthropologist; born in Burlington, Iowa. He was an internationally-known professor at the Pennsylvania State University (1957–88), and a former UN and U.S. government advisor. He wrote extensively on demographic variables, especially high altitude, as related to human adaptation.
