Baltic Glacial Lake

 

a lake located on the site of the present-day Baltic Sea in the Late Ice Age.

In the north and northwest, the lake was bounded by the retreating continental glacier, and in the west by dry land in the region of the present-day Danish straits and the south of Sweden.
