Balezino

 

urban-type settlement, administrative center of Balezino Raion, Udmurt ASSR. Located on the left bank of the Cheptsa River (a tributary of the Viatka). Railroad station on the Kirov-Perm’ line. Population, 14,000 (1968). Industry includes a flax mill, a timber combine, a mechanized foundry, and railroad enterprises.
