The Barents Council, which involves cooperation at central government level, and the Barents Regional Council, which involves cooperation at county level, have now been in existence for 11 years.
Their Arctic Council includes the United States and Canada as well as Denmark and Iceland in addition to the members of the Barents Council comprising: Russia, Finland, Sweden and Norway.
