Baunt
a lake in northern Buriat ASSR in the Tsipa River valley. With an area of 165 sq km and a maximum depth of 33 m, it is situated at an elevation of 1,059 m in the intermontane depression separating the Iuzhno-Muiskii Range from the Vitim Plateau. The Verkniaia Tsipa and Tsipikan rivers flow into Lake Baunt; the Nizhniaia Tsipa flows out of it.
