Tribune News Network Doha Broken Wings, a famous musical based on the novel by Kahlil Gibran and co-written by critically acclaimed Qatari musician, composer, songwriter and symphonic artiste Dana al Fardan, will debut in the region as part of the 35th anniversary of the prestigious
Beiteddine Festival on July 24, 25 and 26.
Based in Lebanon, the
Beiteddine Festival is home to both Kahlil Gibran and Nadim Naaman and takes place within the grounds of the magnificent 19th Century Beiteddine Palace.

The festival's organizers described the event as "a beacon of culture, heritage and art across the Arab world" with a "mission to create platforms for creativity in the Middle East."
Beiteddine festival was founded in the summer of 1985 in the midst of the Lebanese civil war.
Tourists to the city are also at liberty to participate in the summer festivals, including The
Beiteddine Festival, Baalbek International Festival, Byblos International Festival and the Zouk Mikael Festival.
In 2009 French stand-up comedian, Gad Elmaleh, cancelled a visit to Lebanon where he was scheduled to perform at
Beiteddine Festival after Hizbullah's Al-Manar television and other media outlets claimed that Moroccan-Jewish stand-up comedian was pro-Israeli and served in Israel's army.
In 2002, the troupe performed several shows during the
Beiteddine Festival in Lebanon and during the Dubai Shopping Festival in 2004.
The Friends of Jordan Festivals, organisers of the event and a non-profit association, unveiled the programme of the festival in collaboration with organisers of the Lebanese
Beiteddine Festival.
Shahram has performed at major venues worldwide, including The Festival of Aix-en-Provence in France, The festival of Avignon in France, Theatre de la Ville in Paris, The Tokyo Summer festival, The Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, the Festa del Popolo in Italy, and the
Beiteddine Festival in Lebanon, among others.
"What we are seeing today is an expression of the true face of Lebanon after this difficult period and after the dark cloud has passed," Tourism Minister Joe Sarkis said at a press conference unveiling plans for the
Beiteddine Festival, one of the most prestigious.
The musical will now debut in the region as part of the 35th Anniversary of the prestigious
Beiteddine Festival on July 24-26, one of the leading Arts festivals in the Middle East.
