Berezaika

 

an urban-type settlement in Bologoe Raion, Kalinin Oblast, RSFSR. Located on the Berezaika River (tributary of the Msta). Railroad station on the Kalinin-Leningrad line. Population, 3,500 (1968). There is a glass works (producing mainly bottles) and a glove factory.


Berezaika

 

a river in Kalinin Oblast, RSFSR (rising in Novgorod Oblast), left tributary of the Msta. Length, 150 km; basin area, 3,230 sq km. It has its source in Lake Berezai in the Baldai Highlands. It is fed predominantly by snow. The average year-round discharge is about 27 cu m per sec.
