Bienayme-Chebyshev inequality[¦bē‚nīm·ə chə·bi′shȯf ‚in·i′kwäl·əd·ē]
The probability that the magnitude of the difference between the mean of the sample values of a random variable and the mean of the variable is less than st, where s is the standard deviation and t is any number greater than 1, is equal to or greater than 1 - (1/ t 2).
