Bischoff, Elmer

(1916–91) painter, teacher; born in Berkeley, Calif. He taught painting at the San Francisco Art Institute (1946–52; 1956–63), and at the University of California: Berkeley (1965–85). A typical example of his work is Woman With Dark Blue Sky (1959).
