BizTalk Server

Software from Microsoft that provides integration between business processes within an enterprise and between different organizations. BizTalk Server uses protocol implementations called "adapters" to communicate with applications and includes built-in adapters and a framework for creating new ones. It also provides rules-based routing, conversion between data formats and serves as a protocol bridge between HTTP, SMTP, MQSeries and other applications. BizTalk Server supports the Web Services Business Process Execution Language (WSBPEL). See BizTalk.Org, EAI and Web services.

Microsoft Corp has announced the immediate availability of its new BizTalk Server 2002.
The announcement builds on Redmond's unveiling last month of the BizTalk server, based on XML and others standards.

Microsoft also introduced its Visual Studio 2005 software tools program, used to create applications, and revealed plans to release its BizTalk Server 2006 program for tracking business processes, next year.

The alliance is expected to result in the integration of these with Microsoft .NET, SQL Server, BizTalk Server, SharePoint Portal Server, Windows "Longhorn" and Windows XP 64-bit Edition.
