Bogosskii

 

a mountain range in the Greater Caucasus system in the Dagestan ASSR, between the Avarskoe Koisu and Andiiskoe Koisu rivers. Its maximum elevation is 4,151 m (Mount Addala-Shukhgel’meer), and its length is approximately 70 km. The Bogosskii Range is composed of argillaceous schists and sandstone. Its peaks are topped by glaciers whose overall area is 20 sq km. The slopes are covered with xerophytic shrubs and subalpine and alpine meadows.
