Bohr theory
[′bȯr ‚thē·ə·rē] (atomic physics)
A theory of atomic structure postulating an electron moving in one of certain discrete circular orbits about a nucleus with emission or absorption of electromagnetic radiation necessarily accompanied by transitions of the electron between the allowed orbits.
