Bolger, (Raymond Wallace) Ray

(1904–87) actor, dancer; born in Boston. A rubber-legged dancer who appeared on stage and television, he was the wobbly scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz (1939) and received numerous theatre awards including a Tony in 1949.
