Bol’shaia Loptiuga


a river in Komi ASSR; a left tributary of the Mezen’ River. The Bol’shaia Loptiuga is 160 km long, drains a basin of 2,030 sq km, and flows through forests across a marshy plain. Fed primarily by snow, it reaches its high-water level in May. The Ed River is a left tributary.
