Bol’shoi Kuial’nik


a river in Odessa Oblast, UkrSSR. It is 150 km long, rises on the southeastern slopes of the Podol highland and drains an area of 1,860 sq km. It flows into the Kuial’nik estuary, separated from the Black Sea by a landfill strip. It is fed primarily by snow, drying up in the summer and sometimes freezing over in the winter. The Kuial’nitskii health resort is located on Kuial’nik estuary.
