Boucot, Arthur James

(1924–  ) paleontologist; born in Philadelphia. Professor of geology (1969) and zoology (1979) at Oregon State University, his research focused on Silurian and Devonian stratigraphy and invertebrate paleontology and rates of animal extinction.
