Buiunda

 

a river in Magadan Oblast, RSFSR, a right tributary of the Kolyma. Length, 434 km; area of basin, 24,800 sq km. It flows through the Kolyma upland; there are many rapids in the lower reaches. It is fed by snow and rain. The river is frozen from October through May. There are more than 1,500 lakes in the basin of the river.
