Bukama

Bukama

 

a city in the Republic of Zaïre, in Shaba Province. An important transportation junction, it has a river dock in the upper reaches of the Lualaba River and a railroad station on the Lubumbashi-Ilebo line. Bukama is also a trading and distribution center. The Luena coal mines are located near the city.
