Bumatsende

 

Born Sept. 11, 1881; died Sept. 24, 1953, in Ulan Bator. Governmental figure of the Mongolian People’s Republic.

Bumatsende participated in the people’s revolution of 1921 and was a commander of the partisan army. He was chairman of the Presidium of the Small Khural (assembly) from 1940 to 1951. In July 1951 he became chairman of the Presidium of the Great People’s Khural and in 1943, a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party.
