Burano Island's colorful houses, canal and fishing boats July 25, 2012 -- Flickr / David Monroy CAIRO -- 6 February 2018: In a previous article, we talked about the Venetian Island of Murano, close to Venice in the Venetian Lagoon, famous worldwide of its unique Murano glass products.
Meanwhile, the election commissioner accepted nominations of advocates Ghazanfar Ali Bhutto, Faisal Bhatti, Rashid and Sheeraz Bhatti for Joint Secretary and advocates Roshan Ali Chandio, Nasira Shaikh, Imdad Ali Burano, Zulfiqar Ali Chang, Nisar Ali Baloch and Adnan Shakeel for Library Secretary.
Those signed copies of Wilbur Smith's Ancient Egypt series (obtained after standing in a queue for a good two hours); that first step into the world of Harry Potter - unsigned, but equally precious because my son and I read it together; that rainbow-hued crocheted throw rug that my friend brought me from Tasmania and we need for only a week a year since winter isn't a word we are over-familiar with; the fragile glass angels we carried all the way from Burano and almost sat on when we finally unpacked them .
Still, if I had a say (and I don't) my personal favourite was white chocolate, ginger and lemon, a flavour combo from heaven which we discovered in Burano, one of the prettier islands of the Venice lagoon.
