Campbell-Stokes recorder
[¦kam·əl ¦stōks ri′kȯrd·ər] (engineering)
A sunshine recorder in which the time scale is supplied by the motion of the sun and which has a spherical lens that burns an image of the sun upon a specially prepared card.
