Cathedral Gorge State Park


Location:2 miles north of Panaca, just west of US 93.
Facilities:22 campsites, restrooms, showers, picnic area, group use facilities (camping, picnicking), trails (5 miles), visitor center.
Activities:Camping, hiking, nature study, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Park is located in a long, narrow valley where erosion has carved unique patterns in the soft bentonite clay of the canyon walls. Remote areas of cave-like formations and cathedral-like spires are accessible by trail, and a scenic overlook offers excellent views of the canyon. A Nevada Regional Visitor Center is located at the entrance to the park.
