Cellulose insulation with borates

Cellulose insulation with borates

Cellulose insulation is made from recycled newspaper. The borates provide fire and vermin protection. Most cellulose insulation now uses chemical fire retardants as opposed to the natural borates. Fiberglass-batt insulation often contains formaldehyde, which can adversely affect indoor air quality and human health. Cellulose insulation with high recycled content provides maximum environmental benefit.
