Chamber of Deputies

 

the name of the lower house of the parliaments of Italy, Brazil, Ethiopia, Venezuela, Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Nicaragua; in Luxembourg it is the name of the unicameral parliament. The first lower house called chamber of deputies was established in France on the basis of the charter of 1814.
