Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park
Location:Approximately 3 miles south of US 41/Tamiami Trail, on Burnt Store Road (County Road 786) in Punta Gorda.
Facilities:About 6 miles of marked trails, visitor center.
Activities:Boating/canoeing/kayaking, fishing, hiking, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Most of the park is made up of mangrove forests and salt marshes, but public access is available at strategic upland points in each area of the park. Information is available from the Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center, which is located within the park at 10941 Burnt Store Road.
