Cheleken, Severnyi

 

the southeastern part of the Krasnovodsk Gulf of the Caspian Sea, off the northern coast of the Cheleken Peninsula. Severnyi Cheleken is separated from the sea by the Severnyi Cheleken spit. It is 20 km long, approximately 25 km wide, and as much as 3.8 m deep. The entrance to the bay is very shallow and inaccessible to ships.
