Chicago Heights,

city (1990 pop. 33,072), Cook co., NE Ill., S of Chicago; settled in the 1830s, inc. as a city 1901. It is an industrial community where steel, transportation equipment, metal products, tiles, and chemicals are manufactured. Prairie State College is there.
